ETG History
ETG is a petite, independent artisan cafe and bakery that opened in 1982 inside a tiny storefront (previously an Elvis Presley fan club) becoming the first coffee house in the Fremont neighborhood to serve espresso.  Over the years, we've become known for our ever growing and evolving menu of signature baked goods, Guittard dark chocolate mochas and other hand crafted espresso drinks, homemade chai and our staff of witty, charming and eclectic baristas. The history of ETG and its continued success is due to our talented and knowledgeable employees and to the loyal following of artists, musicians, local shop owners and customers who have made ETG a special part of the Fremont Community.

ETG Coffee and Roasting Process
We take pride in small-batch hand roasting the very best single variety organic coffees from small farms and cooperatives in Central America, Indonesia and Africa.  Our exclusive single origin beans are always fair trade, organic and rainforest alliance.  We develop a unique roasting profile for every type of hand selected bean using a small 2.5 kilo gas powered sunny yellow roaster.  We are dedicated to ongoing coffee education and committed to the pursuit of quality, community and sustainable premium coffee.
